UNC Football: Highs and Lows vs. Notre Dame - Tar Heel Blog

Notre Dame will have a bye week to heal up, and then travel to North Carolina in a game that could very well decide who goes to the ACC Championship. This is the most talented North Carolina team in years, and Mack Brown will definitely have his team ready to play. Sam Howell and Ian Book, 2 of the best quarterbacks in college football, will lead their teams to plenty of points, but Notre Dame will pick up the victory and most likely secure their spot in the ACC Championship.

Prediction: Notre Dame 34, North Carolina 24

Prediction: Notre Dame 41, Syracuse 7

ACC Championship vs Clemson

Clemson 30, Notre Dame 3: 5 Thoughts On The Goodyear Cotton Bowl | College Football News

In Notre Dame’s first (and possible only) season playing football in the ACC, they will make it all the way to the ACC Championship and take on Clemson. This will be a rematch of the regular season nail biter. Although both teams will have gotten better since their meeting in November, Clemson will be in playoff form and will be too much for Notre Dame to handle. Notre Dame keeps it close for the 1st half, but Clemson will pull away in the 2nd half and win their 6th straight ACC Championship.

Prediction: Clemson 42, Notre Dame 24

Orange Bowl vs Florida

How Clemson's dominance and the mediocrity of the ACC has put the Orange Bowl in a bind -

In the Orange Bowl, Notre Dame will take on Florida, one of the best teams in the SEC. Notre Dame historically doesn’t play well in the state of Florida, but with a few weeks to prepare, Brian Kelly will have the Irish ready to play. Ian Book will have a great game in his last appearance in the blue and gold, and Notre Dame will score a late touchdown to win the Orange Bowl. They will finish with a record of 11-2.

Prediction: Notre Dame 33, Florida 31
