After a very long wait in which Mike Repole has been, sometimes recklessly, engaging with fans and leaking content to drive hype for the revamped UFL kicking off March 2026, we finally have uniforms for every team. Since we don’t have an on field product to power rank yet, we figured we might as well start with the uniforms. Without further ado, here is our definitive rankings of the uniforms for each UFL team. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below or on Twitter/X at @CFBSelect.
8. Orlando Storm
Candidly, I think there is a huge drop off from uniforms 1-7 and 8, The Orlando Storm dropped the least appealing uniform by a massive margin and I would be quite disappointed as a fan. It is slightly reminiscent of the Orlando Apollos, which whether on purpose or not, is slightly pleasing, but that’s about all I get out of this. The shoulder accents missed the mark and just look confusing, and beyond that these look like a Madden Create a Team. Plus, the worst number font in the league. Lastly – why did they miss the opportunity to have sweet Purple domes and instead went with boring black helmets? I just don’t get this one.
7. Louisville Kings
I liked the Orlando Guardians uniforms back in the day, and thus I like these too, since they’re pretty much the same uniform. That could be a slight exaggeration, but the color set is one that continues to appeal for sure. I like the numbers utilized here and the jockey-style diamonds going down the legs and across the shoulder are a nice touch, though look a bit funky with the color rush style sets. A fine kit from a new team.
6. Columbus Aviators
When the new UFL brands dropped and we ranked their logos, we were very intrigued by the Columbus Aviators color set. It seemed they would lean further into the light blue and red than they actually did here though. I am unsure using the darker blue for the base was the right move, though it does help further distinguish from the Dallas Renegades. That font is an interesting motif on aviation numbers, but I’m not sure it looks great on the uniforms themselves. I like the white kit more here, that is for sure.
5. Birmingham Stallions
The Birmingham Stallions uniforms are a bit painful, because one simple decision could have made them Top 3 if not higher. That light golden color has NEVER looked good on a uniform, as we all learned from UCF in the Blake Bortles era. I have seen fan edits on Twitter/X that replace the golden Stallions uniform with a deep Maroon to match the helmets, and it looks thirty times better. Furthermore, fans are pretty upset that the color palette went darker vs the bold red the Birmingham Stallions used before, though ultimately I’m fine with that switch.
4. DC Defenders
The DC Defenders have continually had one of the best brands in the XFL and then the UFL. This is no different, although I struggle to understand why they went more plain. This is one of those “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” situations, and yet they felt the need to fix the helmets by removing the sick white Camo from them.
3. Houston Gamblers
Simply put – the motifs are what make this one. Those Texas Saloon style numbers. The Poker Symbols going down the legs, though they also look like tire tracks from further away (still deciding if that’s a feature or a bug). I know those red numbers are going to pop fantastically from the stands though and I’m glad they’re using them on both the Home and Away combos. Plus, this design makes the red G in the new logo stand out too. A perfectly fine set, though similar to the Orlando Storm. they fall victim to only having black and white bases which is kind of boring.
2. St Louis Battlehawks
St Louis Battlehawks have consistently had one of the best uniforms in the UFL, and the XFL before that. Their helmet design is one of the few that isn’t just a logo slapped on the side. That being said, many fans have been upset that the helmet wings were seemingly minimized on these new uniforms. But, that military style print still looks fantastic, especially the metallic blue.
1. Dallas Renegades
Many football uniforms have used that wonderful Texas Blue, though mostly programs from Houston. There are many similar elements between these Renegades uniforms and the SMU Dallas uniforms. The Dallas Renegades new uniforms are one of the few new uniforms sets in the UFL where both the Home and Away combos look stellar. Ultimately that bold red stripe in the numbers with that fantastic blue, plus the correct Renegades logo they’re using again, makes these the best uniforms in the new UFL.
