The Hawaii Test College Football 2026

College Football is almost back, and we’ve been so starving for it we want to watch as many games as possible. Well, thankfully a tradition exists in which you DO watch as many games as possible. I’m talking about the Hawaii Test, which real College Football sickos are likely already familiar with.

The Hawaii Test is a challenge in which you (preferably starting with College Gameday at 9 AM), watch games form every single College Football slate straight through, culminating in a Hawaii Football home game that takes you into the early AM on the East Coast. We detail more about the “What is the Hawaii Test?” in our explainer article, here.

Looking to take on this challenge? Here are all the Hawaii Test opportunities of the 2026-27 College Football Season.

Sept 5 2026: Soft Hawaii Test

Hawaii hosts UNLV with a 10 PM ET kickoff

While this is not a true Hawaii with how “early” the game kicks off, it’s a fun way to start the College Football season. Plus, these are two high flying offenses that should be fun to watch long after dark.

Sept 13 2026: True Hawaii Test

Hawaii hosts New Mexico State with a 12 AM ET kickoff

The first true Hawaii of the season, and one of only 2! A great opportunity to really lean into the madness fairly early in the season, even though we expect this one to be pretty one sided on Hawaii’s part.

Oct 4 2026: True Hawaii Test

Hawaii hosts San Jose State with a 12 AM ET kickoff

That’s right, only 14 days apart from the last one, warm up the sofa for a long day of fun once again. This should be a fun matchup as well and, as the last True Hawaii Test of the season (pending UNM scheduling or a schedule change), drink in every second. Plus, you’ll probably be drinking in beer every second.

Nov 14 2026: (Slightly) Soft Hawaii Test

Hawaii hosts North Dakota State with an 11 PM ET kickoff

The Rainbow Warriors welcome the freshly-FBS Bison in the tropics for an ever so slightly early start to the final game of the day. This is one everyone should have circled on their calendar – NDSU could be competing for a Mountain West title in their first year, but a tough road trip to the islands is the exact kind of late night game to break a streak up.

Nov 28 2026: Soft Hawaii Test

Hawaii hosts Sacramento State with a 10 PM ET kickoff

Another new FBS team takes the long flight out. Hawaii will be hosting Sacramento State in the ultimate challenge for a newly top division team, this time visiting from the Mid American Conference. Hey, at least it’s a shorter flight for the Hornets, hailing from California despite playing in the Mid American!

TBD: Oct 17 vs New Mexico

Hawaii hosts the Lobos on October 17th, but a time for the game has not been announced. Fingers crossed it’s a midnight kick to give us one more True Hawaii Test this season!
