This one’s basically a toss up, but we aren’t surprised to see a Kansas State program that perpetually exceeds expectations take home the W with the luck of the Irish.
The SEC Falters and Clemson Beats LSU
It’s tigers vs tiger as Clemson opens the season with a 2019 Championship Game Rematch against LSU. Most of us are accustomed to the SEC winning these early season premier games, but Vegas says otherwise. The spread for this game is again -2.5, with sportsbooks taking Clemson to win.
The Defending Champs Hold Off the Archie Manning-Led Longhorns
Two College Football Playoff teams from last year face off Week 1 in what is arguably the most hyped match of the season. The defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes will look to beat the Archie Manning led Texas Longhorns. Vegas thinks the champs stay winning, with a -3 spread predicting Ohio State wins by a field goal.
Belichick Starts His Tenure with a Win
Belichick is the most hyped head coaching hire of the season, and one can easily argue he’s the most hyped head coaching hire ever. Vegas predicts he starts his college career with a bang, favoring UNC over the TCU horned frogs with a -2.5 point spread.
Ohio State Finally Beats Michigan Again
Despite winning the Buckeyes winning the National Championship last year, Michigan has owned Ohio State in The Game recently. Michigan is a on a 4 year win streak vs the Ohio State Buckeyes, and even won the National Championship the year before Ohio State did. This is the latest in the season prediction Vegas has, but they currently predict a dominant comeback win from Ohio State rolling off their title, with a -5.5 spread favoring the Buckeyes.
Ohio State Wins Again
For the most important prediction of all, the team that will hoist the College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy, Vegas predicts that the winners keep winning. The Ohio State Buckeyes are currently the favorites to win the title again (+500), closely followed by Texas (+550), Georgia (+600), Oregon (+750) and Penn State (+800).
